Danny S

WC sketch 13" x 17"
Artist: Jeanie Schlump

This month's live model came
with dark glasses an a "do-rag".
No preliminary sketch was done, the
watercolor was just added from top to
bottom as it ran down the page.

When Jeanie got home
she added more colors to the previous
watercolor sketch

After the paint above was dry,
Jeanie added additional color washes.

In this watercolor demo the class first
painted an under-painting of (cream) followed by
an under-painting of earth tones.
When dry a flat brush was used to paint in
the brick shapes, followed by a textures
imprinted with a small trimmed sponge.

I am still studying the loose effects of

Olives in Jar

Tried this Chapman exercise in watercolor.
This would have been a much easier challenge
 in acrylic or pastels.
