Today Jeanie Schlump tried to paint
from an old photo of Roger.
This painting went through a series of transitions.
Now it is starting to resemble the man.

This is a watercolor demo
done for the Senior class at the
Eppson Center.
Based on a YouTube video, thought this would get
everyone's creative "juices" flowing.

Grey is never just Black & White!

\
A common mistake made by amateur painters is
mixing black and white to make grey.
I painted this as an example when I taught
Beginning Painting just to show how
COLORFUL greys can be.
This has an under painting wash of colors
topped by dry-brush applications of texture.
